Are you facing this warning page when setting up a new website or developing and testing new features?

This warning comes from because your local port may not have the certificates that Chrome is looking for when loading your page.

To get around this, click Advanced. If there is a button that says Proceed, click that and you will be taken to your page.

However, Chrome may not show that option at all. If the Proceed button is missing, then click anywhere on your screen and type thisisunsafe. The page will then start loading and you will be taken to your destination. In the case that your testing link involves some other redirects, you may need to type thisisunsafe several more times to get around the warning.

For those of you who find the process of typing thisisunsafe annoying, Firefox will always give you the option to navigate to your site if you don’t mind switching browsers. When the warning comes up in Firefox, simply click Advanced and then Accept the risk and continue to arrive to your destination.

With that, you are all set to continue building/testing your website. As always, let me know if you have any questions about this.
